How it works
From first call to final paper
What happens, in order, so you know what to expect before you decide to hire us.
Step 1: You call, text or write
Tell us what you were handed and who handed it to you. A lawyer, not an intake script, answers.
Step 2: You get a plain answer
What the paper is, when it is due and what your choices are. You decide whether to hire us; the answer is yours either way.
Step 3: We agree on fees in writing
A written agreement says what we will do and what it costs before any work begins.
Step 4: We build one plan
With you and, if you have one, your assigned military lawyer: who does what, and by when.
Step 5: We stay through the end
Through the hearing, the order or the board decision, and the paperwork afterward.
Fees
What you pay, and when you learn it
We do not quote figures on this site because the right number depends on the case. This is how we set it.
In writing, first
Every fee agreement is a document you can read and take home before you sign it.
Fixed where the work is fixed
Some stages, such as a board application or an uncontested divorce, can be done for a set fee.
By the hour where it is not
Trials and contested hearings are billed by the hour because no one can say how long they will run.
Ask about spreading it out
If you need to pay over time, raise it on the first call so it is in the agreement from the start.
Step one is a call
Nothing to prepare except the paper you were handed.
Please don't send confidential details by email or form; we will ask for them on the call.
